I’ve just bought a new house and its in need of some serious repair, walls knocking down, new windows, new roof, new everything.
I didn’t really know where to start or what to do.
I found myself walking around a lot, knocking on walls for some reason – Thats what they do on the television.
Then it occurred to me that this is just like any other project, I need a plan and I also need some help.
At first I thought I was going to do everything myself, even the knocking walls down bit.
Then I realised that although I could probably do it, the chances are I would mess it up and then either have to get someone in to fix it, or it would take me a long time to put it right.
So, I’ve got myself a builder and he is going to get it sorted this week over two days – It probably would have taken me 2 weeks!
Then its on to the electrician, window fitter and plasterer etc.
So the down side is, this is going to cost me.
The up side is that it will get done much quicker and all being well will be done to a much higher standard than if I did it myself.
So, yes this is exactly the same with training and nutrition.
I’ve studied, I’ve read, I’ve found things that work and I’ve figured out what is a load of rubbish.
Then all I need to do is package it up in a way that is right for you and show you how to get the best from your nutrition.
To be honest it is quite simple, just like knocking the wall down is.
But, people get it wrong and getting little things wrong has a big effect and can completely halt your progress and even make you go backwards.
In the case of the wall it could lead to my whole house falling down.
Bad nutrition wont have quite so immediate, dramatic effects but in the long term those effects can be very significant.
P.S. – Would a cook book for triathletes be helpful?
Simply reply with yes in an email if you would be interested.
