Fat loss lesson

imageI thought of this whilst cutting down my conifer the other day.

It was massive!

I started hacking away at the little branches on the outside and it seemed like I was getting nowhere – I need a chainsaw I thought.

But, all I had was this little pair of shears and a rubbish floppy saw.

I kept hacking away and then I came across a big branch and got the saw out.

Once I’d cut the big branch off the job looked a lot easier.

Then I cut off another big branch and all of a sudden it seemed like I was nearly there.

At the start of the job though it seemed almost impossible, like I was never going to find the big branch and ultimately the trunk.

You know where I am going with this……….

The first part of the journey or job is definitely the hardest.

It’s the time where you see little results.

But its the time that if you don’t put in, will mean you will never get the job done.

It’s boring, hard and relentless but then all of a sudden……….

You’re there.

Yes, a chainsaw would have made it easier.

As would having someone to tell me what to do.

Someone who had done it hundreds of times before, someone who wasn’t fazed or worried by the apparent lack of progress.

Someone who could keep me focussed.

That person in this case would be a Gardener!!

On this occasion my self motivation kept me going but on another day I could have just give in.

Race season is here and if you’re not where you want to be weight wise or performance wise check out these coaching plans:

This person is a Nutrition Coach and if your struggling, will help you to be race ready.

It’s not to late to get things in order and be on the start line lean, light and fast.
