Faster uphill – the cheap way.

imageThere is nothing worse than climbing a hill on your bike, you think you’ve got to the top and then the realisation……..

The hill has not finished, theres more!

We all know how important weight is in climbing, one of the reasons why MAMIL’s everywhere are going carbon crazy.

That and the fact it looks sexy, leaned up against the wall in the hall way.

There’s no way you can keep that in the shed.

It’s ironic though isn’t it, that we are happy to spend thousands on a lightweight bike which is fractionally lighter than a far cheaper equivalent.

Especially when you can lose fat from you body for free.

In fact, losing fat can save you money.

Instead of buying your lunch everyday, you could make it and literally save thousands over the course of a year.

The trouble is that isn’t as sexy as a carbon bike.

In the short term it won’t make you feel as good.

In the long term though I can promise you will feel an awful lot better.

So my tip this week is to make your own lunch and save your self at least a fiver each day – thats £25 a week, £100 a month, £1200 a year and that excludes drinks!

Instead, spend it on me – Thats a joke!

I am flat out busy at the moment so no room for any more takers.

RECIPE:

My cheap, easy favourite lunch:

3 fist fulls of spinach
1 chopped peper
1 grated carrot
1/2 an avocado
beetroot
1 egg
1 tin of tuna.

Throw it all in some tupperware the night before and keep some salad dressing at work.

Winner!
