Bank holidays, religious festivals, family gatherings etc etc – They’re all horrendous opportunities to excessively eat.
Nearly all of my one to one clients have wanted to know how to manage this weekend without getting carried away and undoing all their hard work.
Now it’s too late for you, so my best advice is to NOT look back and feel guilt about your excesses and instead focus on putting it right.
Most people will make this mistake:
They will feel a bit fat and decide to hit it hard at the beginning of this coming week. They will train hard, maybe get another couple of sessions in and cut calories too low.
They will feel fine for the first few days but by Thursday/Friday they will feel tired.
What happens next will be a cycle they will follow for many years.
It’s what I like to call:
The eat too little during the week and too much at the weekend brigade!
No, its not catchy but it sums up where so many people go wrong – they never lose fat.
So what to do?
The key is to not feel restricted.
If you do without during the week you will be left with cravings which you can only control for a few days.
If you combine this with the tiredness of training and work, those few days usually end on a Friday.
By Friday you feel like you deserve a treat.
But what if you had a treat every day and I don’t mean an unhealthy treat.
What if you could eat food everyday that you enjoyed?
What if that food helped you lose fat?
What if that food gave you more energy?
What if that food made you swim, bike and run faster?
Too good to be true?
Absolutely NOT.
