Alcohol
Lets have a look at this in a little more detail: Protein has 4 calories per gram as does carbohydrate. Fat has 9 calories per gram. Alcohol has 7 calories per gram. All of the above have some sort of nutritional benefit apart from alcohol, which has none whatsoever other than providing energy –
