Of course you don’t – not many people do.
Let me tell you a little more about this:
As a triathlete – we would all like to be blessed with the genes of the Brownlee brothers.
Those genes give them an advantage, mainly in that they will have a larger proportion than normal of slow twitch muscle fibres.
They will have a big heart and lungs.
They are light.
They have the mental capacity to handle relentless work and pain.
They can recover quickly.
Without knowing them personally I would imagine they also have a good tolerance to carbohydrate, meaning they don’t easily add fat.
Yes, this will be partly down to their huge training load but also how their body deals with food.
Chances are that you are not so lucky, otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this email.
So what do you need to do?
Firstly establish which foods suit you and which don’t.
This is easier than it sounds.
You don’t need any sort of test, you just need to know your body, which of course you already do.
There are broadly speaking 3 body types and each will benefit from eating slightly differently.
Some can get away with eating more fat and indeed will thrive on a fatty diet, whilst some can get away with eating larger amounts of carbohydrate without worrying about fat gain.
Once you understand what type of body you have you have a far greater chance of being successful in your fat loss goals.
This is one of the reasons why I wrote my book, The Triathlete Nutrition Code.
Amongst other things it teaches you how to set up the perfect diet for your body type.
To make the most of the genes you’ve been given, rather than fight against them.
Understanding this is a bit like understanding that not everyone can ride the same bike set up.
Yes there will be themes but there is one way which will work better for you.
If you already know this then well done, all you need now is the discipline and patience to see it through but if you don’t:
Well you could be fighting a losing battle.
Quite simply, get the book, read it, apply it and you will succeed – No question about it.
Hundreds of triathletes have bought it already, its been more successful than I ever dreamed and all for £9.99 or $14 ish.
