A rather apt subject line for a nutrition blog, I think you will agree.
The missing ingredient I am about to talk about though is NOT a herb or spice.
It’s not something that is going to add flavour but it is something which can make the difference between success and failure, when you are trying to lose some fat.
It is NOT knowledge!
Despite knowledge being power, it can also be quite disabling in the world of information overload – What and Who should you believe anyway?
The missing link for nearly everyone I work with one to one is accountability.
Someone to report to each week and someone to ask questions of when you are just not sure.
When someone “buys in” to this process it works for them.
This is not such a blatant pitch though.
What can you do to be more accountable?
Use My Fitness Pal
Weigh yourself no more than twice a week, I like Tuesday and Friday
Take a navel measurement
Simply announce to people you are going to achieve X by Y
All the above sound pretty simple don’t they?
So what aren’t you doing them?
If you are, then please stop reading – you are on the road to making the changes you want and need.
If you ARE NOT then why not?
Perhaps you are busy and sometimes actually forget exactly what you want.
Perhaps you feel like “good intentions” aren’t enough.
Let me tell you, NOW is the perfect time to get this started.
You have likely done your main race of the year which means you can focus purely on losing fat.
Whilst your training is still important, you can prioritise this for the next couple of months.
You might though benefit from a helping hand, who doesn’t?
