We can all be pretty hard on ourselves at times.
This can be very destructive, whilst at the same time being one of the attributes needed to keep on training and keep on pushing.
The quest for constant improvement!
The worst thing though, can be when you train hard, watch what you eat and still the scales don’t move in the right direction.
“What else do I have to do”
In this situation we will often compare ourselves to someone we know…….
“XXXX doesn’t need to go through this – the weight just falls off them”
“It’s NOT fair”
I know these conversations we have in our heads, I spent most of my younger life having them with myself and they got me nowhere.
Nowhere that is apart from, frustrated and down on myself.
The thing is though, anyone can lose fat, it’s just that some of us have to work at it more than others.
Whilst that might NOT be fair, it’s just how it is.
In the same way that some people find it easier to run faster or…
Are better at playing the guitar or….
Are better at ten pin bowling – whatever it is, you get the gist.
We all have certain unique genes which equip us better for some things than others.
So, if like me you are a person who struggles to lose fat, you need to work harder.
You will also need to become more educated on nutrition.
Find what works for you and what works against you.
This is all well and good but when things don’t go your way it’s easy to just think:
F**K IT!
We all know what happens then – cake anyone?
This is when you need a voice of reason.
Someone you can run things past.
