What ever we do in life, we naturally gravitate to the things we enjoy.
Thats obvious right?
But, what makes us enjoy something?
Usually being good at it.
This is in my opinion why so many people fail at fat loss.
They set a goal, like lose half a stone in a month.
A couple of weeks in and they may have lost a couple of pounds or maybe nothing at all – either way its not working.
Because of that, it makes them feel bad – they’re NOT enjoying the experience.
So……. they stop!
Lets flip it.
You set your self a long term goal of half a stone in two months.
In the first month you want to lose 4 pounds, a pound a week.
After two weeks, assuming you’ve followed the right plan you can easily be 2 pounds down.
Things are working.
You are good at this and if you carry on you will achieve your goal.
This makes you feel good.
And in feeling good, you want to do more of it.
The problem with fat loss though, is that it is NOT linear.
You will not lose the same amount each week forever.
One week you may lose nothing and then the next week you may be 2 pounds down.
It is then about keeping your cool in that first week, having faith in your plan.
Maybe also having someone keep you on track.
Someone to talk to,
It’s why I set up my private coaching group – The Total Triathlete:
For £10 a month (12 USD ish)
You get access to the private Facebook page where you can ask me anything.
You also get a weekly meal plan.
You get a FREE copy of my book on sign up.
And you can unsubscribe at any time.
So, if things aren’t working, let me help you, you can achieve an awful lot in a couple of months!
