Setting calories

When most people decide they want to lose fat, they do NOT want a decline in performance.

In fact they want the opposite – they want and expect to get faster.

The trouble though is, that when taking part in exhaustive endurance sport like triathlon, there is a need to fuel.

Without the fuel, you will simply not perform.

So how then can you balance this with fat loss?

The key then is to eat as much as possible, whilst still losing fat.

Generally this means creating as small as possible a calorie deficit to maintain performance and lose weight.

In addition to this, you will need to get your fat loss hormones in order.

If you have a small calorie deficit and you optimise your bodies hormones for fat loss, you can lose fat and improve performance.

The hormones which need addressing are:
Testosterone
Cortisol
Insulin
Leptin
To name a few.

How do you do this?

Through the food you eat and the quality of your recovery.

Get this right and create a small calorie deficit and you can get lean, healthy and fast.

I cover this in my E-book – The Triathlete Nutrition Code:

E-Book

Next, it will teach you how to manipulate macro nutrients for your own genes.

There are chapters on Cortisol and Insulin and how to optimise them.

Chapters on recovery and sleep and how getting these right will affect your body fat %.

Then there are the recipes which are designed to fuel your body, so you can perform optimally and NOT simply starve yourself!
