Across the world, people are able to control themselves when they have structure.
This is usually during the working week.
We get up at a set time, eat at a set time and train at a set time – We are dictated to by our routine.
Routine, which I think is very necessary.
When that routine slackens, people fall off the wagon.
This doesn’t just happen to “normal” people but to Triathletes as well.
People like you.
In fact, sometimes it can be worse.
The sacrifice of training and early mornings means we crave reward.
This is so often food and alcohol and happens at the weekend.
The weekend being Friday night, all Saturday and all Sunday – 3 days, nearly half the week!
So what to do?
I believe that we should NOT seek to just stay strong – We do deserve a reward.
The best way is to eat and drink something which is tasty, satiating and feels a bit naughty BUT……..
Well, actually it’s good for you.
“Not possible” – You scream!
Very possible but it does take a little effort.
There are though loads of healthy recipes which are pretty easy.
I post these weekly in my private coaching group – The Total Triathlete:
There is a recipe book linked to the Private Facebook group.
You will receive a copy of my E-book – The Triathlete Nutrition Code – full of recipes and education on how to set up the right diet for you.
Access to the private Facebook group where you can post any question about your nutrition.
Questions like:
“I’ve been ill for the last few weeks and my weight has increased by 2.5KG, what can I do to stop things getting worse whilst I recover?”
All this and more for $13 month or £10 if you’re in the UK.
Pro triathletes have nutritional support – you don’t.
