In short – Yes. However, when that is will depend on when your “A” race is. Most of the 16,000+ triathletes reading this are in the northern hemisphere, which generally means their main race is in the summertime.

The breakfast choice of endurance athletes since the dawn of time has been porridge. This low GI carb dense option has been considered the best choice, due mainly to its energy density. You can make it with water or milk, maybe even a bit of both.

Here in the Northern Hemisphere Winter is on its way. I actually had to scrape the ice off my car yesterday. For the Triathlete, winter means more time on the turbo and running on the Treadmill.
