I’ve not raced now for a few years – 2 young kids, a new house which needed renovating and growing business, has meant I found it hard to find the time.
And being the sort of person who only wants to do something if I can do it well, meant I’d rather not bother.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve still been training but without the pressure of an event.
Anyway, I’m back to full training now and have a series of events planned before a 70.3 in Vichy, France in August 2018.
I found that I kept putting off entering the event.
Even though I knew I wanted to do it, paying up would mean I had to.
So, I’m ashamed to admit – I procrastinated!
I waited, did nothing, almost hoping there would be a better time.
This is a characteristic I see so often with people who want to change their nutrition, maybe lose some fat.
They email me, asking about the programme I offer.
I reply and things go back and too, for a few emails and guess what?
Some still don’t go ahead.
In an attempt to find out why like all good business I did some research.
The data I collected showed that 39% of people who inquire about nutrition coaching do NOT end up being a client.
That is despite them knowing the price before an inquiry.
I even employed a consultant to look into this for me, who reassured me that those stats were good.
In other cases in similar industries, the figures are more like 33% actually sign up.
So why?
These people acknowledge they need help.
They want help.
They want change.
They are prepared to pay.
But they are waiting for the right time, which by the way is NEVER!
I was doing the same with my race entries.
But now I’m committed, my training has an extra purpose and the fear of not doing well has made me step up my game – Yes I have a coach!
I have only one space available for the start of November for One to One coaching so if you want in, click below:
I don’t mind answering any questions but please only contact me if you are serious.
My time, like yours is precious and the more time I waste responding to people who are just toying with the idea, the less time I spend coaching the people who’ve made that commitment.
