In short – Yes.
However, when that is will depend on when your “A” race is.
Most of the 16,000+ triathletes reading this are in the northern hemisphere, which generally means their main race is in the summertime.
For my Antipodean readers, things will be slightly different but you will get the gist.
For most people, the term diet means calorie restriction and indeed to lose fat this is necessary.
If then training is full on, restricting calories and making performance gains at the same time can be difficult.
Sure, it is possible but as with anything in life, if we focus all our attention on one goal, we are more likely to achieve it.
As such, the best time for most people is NOW.
But what about Christmas?
Without a doubt, this is an obstacle to fat loss but in truth, it actually only lasts one week and if you manage it well it is simply a time of maintenance.
If you don’t manage it well, it can lead to half a stone of fat gain and that means more weight to lose in January.
It is roughly six weeks until Christmas and if you lost six pounds by then, maintained for the Christmas week and then got right back to it in January you would be way ahead of your goals – NOT a bad thing!
Then come January training will likely ramp up and some slightly different nutritional protocols will be needed.
If that sounds good but you don’t know where to start or how hit the link:
I currently have 5 one to one nutrition coaching slots available.
You will see there is a pay monthly option or a pay upfront option.
This is, of course, a commitment to yourself.
A decision that you WILL lose fat by the end of the year.
And if you sign up now, you will!
And if you don’t, well I will give you your money back, simple as that!
