If you are on a diet at the moment and your goal is to lose body fat.
You may also want to see actual weight loss but we know the most important thing is fat loss.
How then can we target actual loss of fat, over just weight?
The first thing is to look for SLOW progress.
Yes, thats right I’m not promoting a quick fix!
Sorry, if that’s what you want you’re in the wrong place.
You see, anyone can lose weight and quickly.
Just don’t drink any fluid for a day and you will lose an incredible amount of weight – none will be stored fat, so whats the point?
You don’t need me to answer that.
Actual fat loss will take a little longer because the body will need to have first accessed it’s preferential energy sources.
These are the ones stored in our blood, liver, and muscles.
Once these have been burnt, the body will access stored fat but this will not happen instantly.
In my honest opinion that often means the actual fat loss is not noticed for most people, for around 14 days.
That means patience my dear and if you don’t have that you won’t actually access that stored fat.
So how do you know if you are following the right pathway to access this stored fat?
Unless you have a formal plan, you probably don’t.
