I think there is a massive assumption made that if you do lots of exercise you should look like a super lean specimen.
And to be fair, I think with the volume of training most triathletes do, they should be leaner than they are.
When you do SO much training and make so many sacrifices, its kind of unfair that you don’t get to look awesome.
So why don’t you?
Here are just a few things that I see so many people doing wrong:
Too many gels
Too many bars
Too many sports drinks
What is the theme there?
Too much over hyped, shiny packeted, BIG promised products.
NOT designed to make you faster or leaner.
Designed to give you convenience and make you think that if you eat or drink them, you will look like the cover model who is advertising the product.
The cover mode,l who incidentally has prepared themselves for a professional photo shoot and probably has superior genetics than you and me.
I digress…….
Unfortunately the fact is that most people are lazy.
Not necessarily too lazy to train but to lazy to get there nutrition right.
They go for the REALLY easy option, or they go for the REALLY hard option.
The easy option is ready made junk.
The hard option is “Rabbit food”
Neither are good and the second is definitely not sustainable.
So what is the answer?
Eat wholesome, tasty, not overly complicated food.
Recipes which can be cooked easily.
Maybe NOT really easily the first time but once you’ve done it once, you will be able to knock it out in no time.
More than anything though you will be satisfied.
It’s why I wrote my book – The Triathlete Nutrition Code:
Full of tasty recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks a plenty.
There are even shake recipes for when you’re in a rush, or need something on the go.
The main thing is though, that these are designed for the endurance athlete.
NOT just some normal person but a person like you and me who trains hard.
But……
Feels they deserve to look the part too.
It’s only £9.99/12 ish USD
